In accordance with Tennessee State law, the
2026 Personal Property Schedule must be completed and filed with the Assessor of
Property by March 2,
2026. Failure to file your Schedule will result in the Assessor issuing a Forced
Assessment for your business Personal Property. A Forced Assessment is an
assessment resulting from the Assessor's estimation of value. Once you have
received a Forced Assessment, the only way to set it aside is by completing the
Schedule and filing a
2026 appeal with the Shelby County Board of Equalization.
